Love for Lily Fundraiser
Sunday, February 12th, come out to Lindy's Landing (115 Park Street in Wauconda) between 10am and 6:00 pm to help raise money for Lily Smith. Lily, a 2nd grader at Cotton Creek School, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called angiosarcoma. This form of cancer is very aggressive and is on the high end of the spectrum and has been known to reoccur. It affects a person's soft tissues, bones and lungs.
Her mom has taken an unpaid medical leave to care for her both at home and during the many week of chemotherapy and radiation at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.
Brunch goes from 10am-2pm, enjoy live music from "What's Missing?", "Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners", and "Bart and the Belvederes" from 2-6pm. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, themed prize packages valued from $200-$500, and the Pink Heals fire truck will be there for parents and children to climb aboard and have their picture taken by a professional photographer.
Tickets are available now at $15 for adults and $8 for kids. To purchase tickets in advance or to donate, contact Joyce at (847) 526-9789 x129, or email her at joyce-forcier@lindyslanding.net.
