The American Legion Hall, Wauconda Post 911 was the location for seven wrestling matches. Flyers circulated around Wauconda promised to present, "Wrestling at its best". Vegas' hope was to, "...bring back 'Old-school wrestling'..." in addition to gearing the entertainment, 'suitable for the family'. In prior pursuits, Vegas was set to play professional football for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but had to retire after enduring an injury. He then went into body-building and began to draw the notice of those with ties to the Professional Wrestling Industry. Vegas wrestled for both the WCW and WWF for approximately 5 years collectively. After experiencing a few more setbacks due to the profession, Vegas aspired to start his own league, IWF, which became established in 2001. The wrestling matches were held at the American Legion Hall, Wauconda Post 911, which is located at 515 S. Main St. in Wauconda.
