No need for travelling to the city for a Symphony Concert, for on Sunday, January 22nd, the Metropolis Symphony Orchestra is coming to Mundelein!

Enjoy an evenng of Grand Entertainment, including a pre-concert reception with a silent auction, beer, wine, and appetizers, followed by a spectacular music event with a 51-piece orchestra.  The concert will be held at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Mundelein.

The Metropolis Symphony is a collection of top players from throughout the Chicago area, whose members perform with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Grant Park Orchestra, Lyric Opera, Chicago Opera Theater and the Lake Forest Symphony.

The program features exciting classical scores from the silver screen.  The works are short and designed to appeal to the concert novice, as well as the connoisseur.  The highlight of the program is the thrilling title sequence, from John Williams' STAR WARS.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Frassati Catholic Academy in Wauconda, IL.
